According to a recent Research from auditing company “KPMG International”, the United Arab Emirates entered the top three among the countries that can most successfully adapt to significant changes in the world economy.
If we look at the “Change Readiness Index” (CRI) rating, the United Arab Emirates stand in third place after Sweden and Switzerland.
In relation to the results of previous years, the Emirates have improved its performance since 2015. This dynamic perfectly illustrates the ability of the Goverment to respond in a timely manner to the events taking place in the world economy.
The index, which ranks 136 countries, looks at economic indicators that reflect changes related to short-term significant events such as natural disasters and long-term demographic, economic and social trends.
Despite the fact that the indicators for 2015 and 2017 show a deterioration in the petrol-reliant countries and revenues from their exports, the United Arab Emirates contravene with these negative trends. At the same time, it is worth noting the fact of economic diversification, and as a result, the country’s dependence on oil revenues is falling down.
The United Arab Emirates have also improved its performance in the Global Innovation Ranking of 2017, rising to 35 positions.
